‘26 grads earn IB Diplomas & Course Certificates

July 2026 Mandela International Magnet School is proud to announce the exceptional performance of the 2026 graduating class! Fourteen students earned the highly respected International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, a globally recognized symbol of academic excellence. An additional 23 MIMS graduates earned IB Course Certificates in one or more subjects. Well done, MIMS grads!!

The IB Diploma requires students to complete advanced coursework and exams across six subject areas, a 4,000-word independent research paper, a Theory of Knowledge project, and a demonstrated commitment to creativity, activity and service. Course Certification rewards demonstrated excellence in particular subjects. All of Mandela’s 11th and 12th-grade IB students engage with some aspects of this Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum.
