Mandela International Magnet School offers the Middle Years Program and the Diploma Program for its 7th-12th-grade students. All IB programs have a consistent pedagogical approach centered on developing the attributes of the IB learner profile.
Middle Years Program (MYP)
The MYP develops students’ abilities to manage their own learning and make connections between the classroom and the real world. Its curriculum includes eight subject groups and is built to provide early adolescents with a broad, balanced academic foundation.

Because the MYP curriculum is philosophically aligned with the subsequent Diploma Program, students who have taken the MYP be well prepared for the challenges of the DP.
Diploma Program (DP)
The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is an assessed program for 11th and 12th graders that focuses on cultivating students’ inquiring mindset and desire to learn, preparing them to excel in higher education and careers, and positioning them to lead meaningful lives. The DP curriculum is respected by leading universities across the globe.
